Riverton
I’m taking part in the Watertown YardArt project which will be up around town for a month beginning March 5.
In 1909, the O’Connell Real Estate Co. posted an ad in The Boston Globe to “Take a Trolley Trip Today and see RIVERTON” to encourage folks to build and buy “adjoining the beautiful grounds of the new Perkins Institute”.
These flags were printed from wood type and linoleum blocks in my letterpress studio, Sea Dog Press. Another banner printed from a linoleum block updates the Watertown Seal to suggest citizens “Preserve and Protect” and “Bring your own Bag”.
